Philanthropy

Service and Philanthropy are cornerstones of our organization and are truly close to our heart.  Alpha Phis at Alabama hold service activities to give back to the Tuscaloosa community, bettering ourselves and the place we call home. Our philanthropic efforts focus on our Fraternity’s International cause, The Alpha Phi Foundation, which raises awareness and funds research for the number one killer of women – heart disease.

We incorporate the Foundation’s mission into what we do here on campus.  We hold Heart Week annually with the intent of educating fellow students on cardiac care.  We look forward to introducing an additional event to our Philanthropy Program – the Alpha Phi Red Dress Gala ,a fundraiser that many collegiate chapters have made their signature event on their campuses and in their communities. The Beta Mu chapter is also looking forward to getting the Greek community to participate in the Alpha Phi-esta, a fundraiser cookout this fall.
